![]() ![]() ![]() The last instance is a large twelve-person raid in Dar Narbugud. Even a powerful fellowship can find things quickly getting out of hand if they're not on top of this encounter. Do you take out the goblins that do the most damage, those that damage you over time with disease, or those that hamper your own abilities? There are even goblin minions who can buff the bosses you're fighting, so you'll need to make sure to keep the pressure on your main opponent, while also taking out the smaller enemies before they can increase his effectiveness. The goblins here attack en masse and make use of a variety of new abilities that will require you to think a bit more carefully about the focus of your attacks. Here you'll be tasked with collecting armor and weapons in a massive series of chambers protected by goblins and a handful of powerful orc bosses. If you've got a bigger group, you can try the six-person instance in the Crafting Halls. ![]() Figuring out how to use them your advantage while also not getting squashed is a big part of the challenge here. While he's terrifying enough, the battle is made even more perilous by the addition of numerous pistons that pound down on the ground all around you. Each wheel you unlock opens up the opportunity to travel further down into the facility, where you will ultimately face off against the Caerlug. Here the players will have to travel along the channels and scaffolds to unlock the waterwheels that cool the dwarves' furnaces. The next instance, also geared for three players, took place deep in the Waterworks. They say they're more scared of you than you are of them. It's a very clever sort of puzzle that requires the player to choose the best angles for the mirrors, while also fending off attacks by massive wolves. The idea is to get each mirror positioned correctly to keep the light from above shining down into the pits. Geared for three players, this instance opens up with players circling their way down into a massive pit to align a series of dwarven mirrors. The first instance we visited was the Mirror-Halls. We had the chance to delve deep into the new content earlier today in a hands-on session hosted by Turbine. The new content includes, among other things, four new instances within the Mines and a pair of new races in the player starting areas. In just a few short weeks, the folks at Turbine will be adding Book 8 content to their Mines of Moria expansion to The Lord of the Rings Online. ![]()
